Derris scandens Benth. Capsule and Drinks

Derris scandens Benth. (Leguminosae), local Thai name, Tao-Wan-Priang, is well-known as an Asian medicinal plant. Its dried stem has been used for the treatment of muscle aches and pains, and also has been used as an expectorant, antitussive, diuretic, and antidysentery agent (Chavalittumrong et al., 1999).

The new studied in Thai has been shown that Derris scandens Benth. has an anti-inflammatory effect for muscle pain and osteoarthritis comparing NSAID.
